Many of you may remember Miley and Lisa Peachey from our co-authored book Miley Speaks. In it, Lisa recounts the early stages of her journey, reflecting on her growing understanding while sharing how my conversations with Miley led her into a deepened awareness. Below is a short detailed description of how reincarnation works from an animal perspective as relayed by Miley in answering a point-blank question from Lisa about this, which I know many of you have as well.

Elizabeth: From your human, Lisa: 'At what point in the lifespan of Miley did you enter the dog body, and did you know we would adopt you?  Context here being I am wondering if our family coming together was random or planned since before you incarnated.'

Miley: (she frowns) Did I not tell you that I came purposefully to be with you? How could we have this type of relationship accidentally? It does not happen. There are no accidents, and nothing is random, despite how much humans love to embrace that as a disempowerment crutch.

E: That makes sense, Miley, we didn’t look at it that way. Do you want to talk about how you got into the body?

M: Like so many, I did not enter the body in linear time. As a conscious member of the devic canine pool, and after I entered that pool of spirit preparing to immerse itself in canine, and in preparation for incarnation, fully conscious and focused on flowing to you, to your hearts...(then very simply) I did what most dogs do. (Miley is referring to a flow of group and individual souls preparing to incarnate as a ‘pool’ here. She is also distinguishing herself as a ‘conscious member’ from younger spirits who identify within a collective group).

E: Miley you are making me laugh. I thought some great revelation was coming. Please go on.

M: It is coming. Do you want me to explain the rest?

E: SO BADLY! This is what all humans want to know about. What comes next?

M: Most animals at this stage move into an overlighting phase; they may overlight 2 or 3 litters of newborns or even pregnant females. This means we allow our spirits to merge into a loose unity or group consciousness that forms a web of communication with other litters we are connected to, similar to the fungi network of communication. Our consciousness does not fully detach or separate from the group consciousness until quite a bit of time after we are born -  usually 14 months or so in the case of dogs and cats. Wild animals are a bit different in this process; many never detach. You see flocks of birds; they experience both group and individual consciousness simultaneously, all their lives. (Miley showed me ‘the fungi network’, pointing toward the documentary, ‘Fantastic Fungi’)

And most animals never fully detach like humans do. All the animals know, what all the other animals know, again, similar to the fungi network or even trees or other plants. There are lines of communication between us in the animal kingdom, as well.

So when you look at the incarnation process of a fully conscious being, who unlike humans does not forget prehistory upon birth, you have to understand the nature of a greater sense of group consciousness within species as well as group souls when this applies. This is different from how humans are used to conceptualizing their own sense of spirit. I also ask humans to understand that we have the conscious ability to move in and out of bodies via shared consciousness in this process. It’s like a child's play room with a bunch of spirits and a bunch of bodies, all dancing in and out of each other, within a certain proximity or chosen definition of locale.

So when did I enter my body? Multiple times, and exited multiple times as well.

Why? So I could be in the body that was in front of you.

When did I decide to stay?  We always leave that decision for you as our intended match. When you, the human, decide to ‘take that one home!’, then we sign our individualization contracts while you sign the adoption papers. Sometimes there are backroom deals.

Sometimes the dogs’ personality changes after you bring him home. Why? Because he had to kick all the other dogs out.

That’s not how it really is, but I think your human side can understand the simpler funnier answers better.

E: Best most detailed explanation I’ve heard so far, Miley. Many humans will appreciate this. It explains a lot, in a way most humans can accept as plausible. Thank You!
